“The Greater Manchester Local Skills Improvement Plan is one of the most important pieces of skills work that has been done in recent years. Through it the Department for Education tasked the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to pull together evidence from employers across GM about what skills their workforce needs so that local labour market needs can be met. This needed a comprehensive piece of survey work as well as a series of in-depth interviews with business owners and employers to generate sufficient intelligence to allow us to do the plan.
Claire was an immediate choice to lead the work on the interviews through her existing, extensive connections as well as her knowledge and skills around leadership and management. The evidence Claire gathered was invaluable, the manner she set about doing the work was exemplary, and the end result made a massive difference to the plan and report.
